Preboot Execution Environment (PXE)
Our PXE Network Boot Environment is used for our automated installs. If your server has KVM, you can use the boot menu to initiate Rescue Tools live distributions and memtest86+.
DHCP
Our DHCP server assigns the primary IP address to your server, and is also used in the PXE Boot Environment.
During automated operating system installations, initiated from your Control Center, your server will use the DHCP server to get a temporary network configuration, which is then replaced with a static network configuration upon completion of the installation.
SMTP
We do not believe in controlling our customers SMTP traffic. That's why we do not provide a centralized SMTP relay server.
We believe our customers are much better off configuring their own SMTP relay service on their dedicated server, and thus having full control of their services.
The more control you have, the more responsibility is required. We expect all customers to adhere to our Acceptable Use Policy.
Forward DNS
We provide two free forward DNS servers, which can be used from within our network to resolve domain names. Note, that these are forward DNS servers which will only forward your requests to other name servers.
| 82.103.191.3 | custns1.easyspeedy.com |
| 82.103.143.251 | custns2.easyspeedy.com |
You cannot configure your own domain name using our DNS servers. You will need to either set up your own DNS server or use a DNS hosting provider.
Reverse DNS
Reverse DNS (RDNS) is used to resolve the hostname from an IP address. RDNS is configured from within your Control Center and can be individually configured for each of your assigned IP addresses. Reverse DNS records are hosted on our DNS servers and is free of charge.
